In order to get the most out of your candles, please follow our top tips. When you light your candle for the first time, burn it until the wax melts across the whole surface of the vessel. This helps prevent ‘tunnelling’ and will help to create an even burn for the duration of the life of the candle. This might take 2-3 hours. Always trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each burn. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times. Don’t burn your candle in a drafty spot as this will decrease the burn time, cause uneven burning, smoking and a decreased scent throw. Never burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at one time. For safety reasons, say goodbye to your candle when there is about 10mm of wax left in the container. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
